Tricia Booker

Cameron Green LLC and Tricia Booker Photography are owned and operated by Tricia Booker, an award-winning Virginia- and South Carolina-based editor, writer and photographer. Tricia is also the co-founder of Ink Horse Publishing LLC and the co-author of the book Judging Hunters and Equitation.

Tricia is a lifelong equestrian who has been fortunate to make horses her vocation and avocation. Tricia is an R-rated judge in Hunters, Hunter/Jumping Seat Equitation and Hunter Breeding with the United States Equestrian Federation and has more than 30 years of judging experience.

In addition to her first love of Hunters and Jumpers, Tricia has also successfully competed in eventing, dressage and endurance. She’s earned Hunter/Jumper tricolors from the Winter Equestrian Festival circuit in Florida to the Upperville Colt & Horse Show (Virginia) to the East Coast fall indoor shows. Tricia has ridden and shown with many of the country’s top trainers, including Julie Winkel, Denice Perry, Ginny Edwards, Patty Foster, Mary Lisa Leffler, Jack Towell, Susie Schoellkopf, Jeff Gogul and Gary Zook.

As a reporter, writer and editor, Tricia has traveled the world from Kentucky to Argentina to Dubai taking photographs and covering equestrian competitions, including the FEI World Equestrian Games, FEI World Cup Finals, World Championships and Pan Am Games. She’s written thousands of articles for an array of magazines, newspapers and websites around the country and world and is a former editor of The Chronicle of the Horse and current editor of the United States Hunter Jumper Association's In Stride magazine. Throughout her varied career, she’s expanded her skills and credentials and has worn many hats, including researcher, publicist, marketing specialist and website designer.

Tricia is also passionate about animal welfare and conservation and was a longtime volunteer with the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute as a Citizen Scientist with the Virginia Working Landscapes, helping to promote the conservation of native species through the Grassland Biodiversity Surveys.
